Birdlanes

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Birdlanes ("the game") is a puzzle game made by ("we"). It is available on Android through Google Play and in the browser on CrazyGames. This policy explains what data the game uses, who handles it and the choices you have. The short version: we do not ask for your name, email or any account, and we run no servers of our own. On Android, our ad partner Unity collects some device data to show ads, and Google Firebase gives us anonymous play statistics and crash reports.

1. Data the game keeps on your device

Your progress (levels finished, stars, coins, hints, the Daily Flock streak and your settings) is saved on your device. On Android it lives in the app's private storage; on CrazyGames it is saved through the CrazyGames save system. We never receive it. You can erase it at any time: open Settings → Reset progress in the game, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

2. Ads on Android (Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads)

The Android version shows ads through Unity LevelPlay with the Unity Ads network, both provided by Unity Technologies: a short ad between some levels, and optional videos you choose to watch for a reward. To deliver and measure ads, these SDKs collect data such as:

DataWhy
Advertising ID and other device identifiersShowing ads, limiting how often you see the same ad, preventing fraud
IP address and approximate location (country or region, derived from the IP)Choosing ads for your region, fraud prevention
Device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version, network type)Showing ads that work on your device, diagnostics
Ad interactions (ads shown, clicked or completed)Measuring ads, rewarding finished videos

Unity handles this data under its own policy: Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy. Data is sent over encrypted connections.

Players in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked first: before any ad loads, the game shows a choice to allow or not allow Unity to use the advertising ID for ads that suit you. Ads appear either way; if you choose Don’t allow, Unity shows non-personalized ads. You can change your answer any time in the game under Settings → Ad privacy choices.

Your choices: on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Ads are optional to interact with; rewarded videos are never required to play.

3. Play statistics and crash reports on Android (Google Firebase)

The Android version uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, to see how the game is played and to fix crashes. They collect:

DataWhy
A random app-instance ID (and the advertising ID, when allowed)Counting players without knowing who they are
Game events: levels started, finished or failed, time and hints used, tutorial skipped, ads shownFinding levels that are too hard or too easy
Device and app information, approximate location (country, from the IP)Statistics by device and country
Crash reports: what the app was doing, the level being played, device model and OS versionFixing crashes

Google processes this data for us as a service provider and does not use it for its own ads: Privacy and Security in Firebase. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics and ad storage follow your choice in the consent screen: if you choose Don’t allow, Firebase only counts anonymous, cookieless events.

4. Playing on CrazyGames

In the browser, Birdlanes runs on CrazyGames, which hosts the game, shows ads and stores your save. Their handling of your data is described in the CrazyGames Privacy Policy. We receive only anonymous, aggregated statistics from CrazyGames, such as how many people played.

5. What we do not do

6. Children

Birdlanes is rated for ages 12 and up (PEGI 12) and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child's data was collected through the game, contact us and we will have it removed.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its use. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, the fastest way is usually to reset your progress in the game and your advertising ID on your device. For data held by Unity or Firebase, see Delete your data, or write to us and we will forward your request.

8. Retention and security

Game progress stays on your device until you reset it or uninstall the game. Unity keeps ad data for the periods set out in its policy. Firebase keeps play statistics for up to 14 months and crash reports for 90 days. Data sent by the game travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
